Nancy Drew was my favorite book series as a child. The first book I received was "The Clue of the Broken Locket," series book 11 by Carolyn Keene. In the book, Nancy has to solve two mysteries after receiving a strange key from her father at the breakfast table. The key was to a cabin on Misty Lake.
The book inspired me to become a writer because it was intriguing. I wanted to live in a world where my father asked me to help him and trusted that I could do it. I also wanted to live in a world where I solved exciting mysteries, made new friends, and made a difference in the lives of people, but it was more than that. (Read More)
